In its ongoing crackdown of poor driving behaviors, the Santa Monica Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit will target vehicles failing to stop for a red light this month.
The unit focuses on different driving behaviors each month that are considered primary causes of traffic collisions.
Throughout September, officers will be on the lookout for violations of the California Vehicle Code laws that apply to circular red or red arrow traffic signals, a department spokesman said.
