Police seek suspect who

allegedly annoyed girl at

15th St., Ocean Park Blvd.

Santa Monica police are seeking a suspect in a juvenile annoyance incident that took place in the Pico Neighborhood early Thursday, September 8th.

Police were called to the area of 15th Street and Ocean Park Boulevard at 7:45 a.m., where a suspect had allegedly approached a 12-year-old girl and hugged her.

The girl got away from the suspect and ran to school, where she reported the incident to a school official, police said.

The suspect fled on foot westbound on Ocean Park Boulevard.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20 years old, five-feet-ten to six feet, with a thin build, light complexion, dirty blond hair in a short-cut style and possible goatee.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a white short-sleeve T-shirt with a crossbones and skull on the front and blue jeans.

He did not appear to be a transient, police said.
