CityTV, the City of Santa Monica government access cable station, now has a companion station, CityTV2.

Channel 20, on cable within the city limits of Santa Monica, is the home of CityTV2.

CityTV can be found on cable channel 16 in Santa Monica.

“With this new channel, which went on the air Friday, October 1st, CityTV becomes the first government access station to bring local election information to its community 24 hours a day and seven days a week,” said Robin Gee, CityTV station manager.

CityTV2 will air Vote 2004 shows through the election Tuesday, November 2nd.

Coverage includes races for Santa Monica City Council, Santa Monica Rent Control Board, Santa Monica College board of trustees and the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District board of education.

Also on CityTV2 is coverage of judicial candidates and two ballot measures — a City of Santa Monica hotel tax hike and a $135 million Santa Monica College bond.

After the election, the companion station will air replays of all public meetings that air live on the original station.
