The Kentwood Players theater group will present William Shakespeare’s As You Like It at the Westchester Playhouse beginning Friday, July 9 through Aug. 14.

Performances are scheduled at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays at the playhouse, 8301 Hindry Ave.,Westchester.

As You Like It, which tells of sibling rivalry, mistaken identities, cross dressing, and an eight-way wedding, is one of Shakespeare’s most delightful comedies, says a playhouse spokesperson.

The production is directed by Karintha Touton, with—Jeremy Speed Schwartz as assistant director, and Adam Dunberger as producer.

“Theater is our Forest of Arden,” says director Karintha Touton. “We all have to exist in the clutter and stress of this modern world, but we can escape for a time, where anything can happen, and where we can play out the better parts of ourselves.”

Featured in the cast are Lorenzo Bastien, Lauren Billingsley, Jordan Bland, Caity Engler, Martin Feldman, Drew Fitzsimmons, Marco Antonio Garcia, Rick Gates, Mark Mayes, Susie McCarthy, David Neiman, Catherine Rahm, Scot Renfro, Melodie S. Rivers, Alison Stebbins, and Meredith M. Sweeney.
