All propositions fail in special election Tues., Nov. 8; LA school bonds pass with required 55%
With 100 percent of the votes counted Wednesday morning, the secretary of state reported that all eight of the statewide propositions in the Tuesday, November 8th, election had failed.
The secretary of state reported:
Prop. 73: Minor’s Pregnancy, received 47.4 percent yes; 52.6 percent no;
Prop. 74: Teachers’ Tenure; 44.9 percent yes; 55.1 percent no;
Prop. 75: Union Dues; 46.5 percent yes; 53.5 percent no;
Prop. 76: Spending/Funding; 37.9 percent yes; 62.1 percent no;
Prop. 77: Redistricting; 40.5 percent yes; 59.5 percent no;
Prop. 78: Drug Discounts; 41.5 percent yes; 58.5 percent no;
Prop. 79: Drug Rebates; 38.9 percent yes; 61.1 percent no;
Prop. 80; Electrical Regulation, 34.3 percent yes, 65.7 percent no.
SCHOOL BONDS — The Los Angeles County registrar-recorder/county clerk reported Wednesday morning that with 100 percent of precincts reporting in the county, Los Angeles Unified School District Measure Y, a school bond issue, passed with 65.74 percent yes and 34.26 percent no.
