More than $385,000 was raised at the 20th Annual St. Joseph Center Dinner Dance and Auctions at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday, May 7th.

Funds raised are to assist homeless and low-income men, women and children on the Westside.

Attorneys from the international law firm of Latham & Watkins LLP helped the center raise funds at the Dance and Auctions event.

The attorneys also donated more than $750,000 in pro bono hours to help St. Joseph Center through an entitlement process for the center’s new building.

St. Joseph Center recognized the law firm with its Community Service Award.

The center also recognized BlasÈ Bonpane and Theresa Bonpane, of the Office of the Americas, for supporting the center for the past 29 years.

“It is with the help of people like the attorneys at Latham & Watkins LLP and BlasÈ and Theresa Bonpane that we are able to provide our continuum of services for disadvantaged families,” said Rhoda Meister, executive director of the St. Joseph Center.

The center provides emergency services, childcare, job training and senior services each year to 7,000 people.

The center has 11 programs on eight sites in Venice, Santa Monica and West Los Angeles.
