Oropeza staff members plan to meet with community members and provide information and tips about various state programs.

Some of the information that staff members will discuss includes how to obtain health information and services, tips on how to avoid identity theft, and information on what it takes for low-income renters and homeowners to receive nearly $500 in tax refunds.

Elected to the Assembly in 2000 and the State Senate in 2006, Oropeza is one of the highest-ranking Latinos in the Legislature. She chairs the Senate Revenue and Taxation Committee.
