Santa Monica residents will have the opportunity to hear newly appointed city manager P. Lamont Ewell on Saturday, May 6th, at the annual general membership meeting of Friends of Sunset Park.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 1343 Ocean Park Blvd., Santa Monica.
Friends of Sunset Park is a nonprofit, city-recognized neighborhood group with a mission to improve quality of life for Sunset Park residents.
Sunset Park is bounded by Lincoln Boulevard on the west, Pico Boulevard on the north, and the Santa Monica city limits to the east and south.
Ewell will be the keynote speaker.
The meeting will also feature discussions about traffic, development, Santa Monica Airport, Santa Monica College, crime, and public safety.
During the meeting, Friends of Sunset Park members will vote for a new board of directors for the 2006-2007 year.
The meeting will conclude with the annual awarding of the “Emmalie” trophy.
