ARRESTED FOR STEALING ITEMS FROM STORE
Police were called to a store in the 300 block of Colorado Avenue at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 6th, where a theft suspect was in custody.
A store loss prevention officer told officers that a suspect allegedly entered the store, placed merchandise valued at $203.49 into a bag and left without paying.
The suspect had been detained outside the store and was released to police, who arrested him and booked him in Santa Monica Jail for petty theft.
BOOKED FOR TAKING CLOTHES FROM HOME
Police were called to the 600 block of Copeland Court at 8:36 a.m. Friday, July 7th, regarding a report of a residential burglary.
A woman alleged to officers that when she returned to her residence, she saw a female suspect inside her living room area.
When the woman confronted the suspect and asked what she was doing, the suspect allegedly walked out of the home with some items and fled.
Responding officers located the suspect in the 2500 block of Beverly Avenue. The items taken, which included miscellaneous clothing, were recovered.
After the suspect was identified, she was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for residential burglary.
SUSPECT ALLEGEDLY HIT MAN WITH TV AND LAMP
Police were called to the 1900 block of Pico Boulevard at 7:40 p.m. Friday, July 7th, where a man who had a laceration on the back of his head told officers that he had gotten into an argument with a friend who allegedly hit him with a small television and wooden lamp and fled.
The man was treated at a local hospital for his injuries.
The suspect was arrested at the scene and taken to Santa Monica Jail, where he was booked for assault with a deadly weapon.
ALLEGEDLY ASSAULTED MAN AT POOL HALL
A man in the 3100 block of Santa Monica Boulevard told officers at 11:53 p.m. Saturday, July 8th, that he was playing pool with someone he had just met at the pool hall.
During the pool game, the victim got into an argument with a second person, who allegedly struck him.
After the victim was hit, the first man allegedly struck the victim on the face with a pool cue.
The victim was treated at a local hospital for a laceration to his face and both were detained by security and released to police, who arrested and booked them in Santa Monica Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.
SUSPECTS BOOKED FOR TAKING WALLET OF MAN
Police were called to the 2800 block of Lincoln Boulevard at 2:59 p.m. Monday, July 10th, regarding a report of suspicious activity.
A man told officers that he saw two suspects allegedly removing property from someone who had passed out on the sidewalk.
The two suspects were detained by officers and it was later determined that they had allegedly taken a wallet from the person on the sidewalk.
The suspects were arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for “grand theft from person.”
BOOKED FOR THROWING PLASTIC WATER BOTTLE
A store employee in the 1300 block of the Third Street Promenade told police at 2:52 p.m. Wednesday, July 12th, that a customer had become upset and allegedly threw a plastic water bottle at the employee, striking her in the arm.
The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for assault and battery.
