BOOKED FOR STEALING CLOTHING FROM STORE
Police were called to a store in the 300 block of Colorado Avenue at 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 2nd, where two theft suspects were in custody.
Store loss prevention officers told police that the suspects allegedly entered the store, used a tool to remove the security sensors from clothing items and left without paying.
The clothing was valued at $936.87.
The two suspects were arrested outside the store and taken to Santa Monica Jail, where they were booked for possession of burglary tools and commercial burglary.
ALLEGEDLY TRIED TO USE COUNTERFEIT BILL
Police were called to a store in the 1800 block of Wilshire Boulevard at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, October 25th, where a suspect had allegedly attempted to use a counterfeit $100 bill to pay for merchandise.
A store employee told police that the suspect had allegedly attempted to use the counterfeit bill, but fled the store when an employee determined that the bill was counterfeit.
A witness was able to record the license plate number of the suspect’s vehicle.
The suspect was arrested several days later and booked in Santa Monica Jail for attempting to use a counterfeit bill.
SUSPECT ALLEGEDLY STRUCK POLICE OFFICER
Police on patrol in the 1200 block of Third Street at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, November 5th, arrested a suspect for petty theft.
During the arrest, a friend of the suspect allegedly assaulted a police officer by striking the officer with a backpack while he was making the arrest.
The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for assault and battery on a police officer.
CHARGED WITH STEALING SOCKS FROM STORE
Police were called to the 300 block of Colorado Avenue at 4:10 p.m. Thursday, November 3rd, where a theft suspect was in custody.
Store loss prevention officers alleged to police that a suspect entered the store, stole socks valued at $11.50 and left without paying for the items.
The suspect was arrested outside the store and taken to Santa Monica Jail, where he was booked for petty theft.
SUSPECT ALLEGEDLY CUT MAN WITH KNIFE
A man in the 500 block of Olympic Boulevard told police at 6:25 p.m. Thursday, November 3rd, that for an unknown reason a suspect began to yell at him and allegedly produced a knife and attempted to stab the man.
The man sustained minor abrasions to his back and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.
ARRESTED FOR HITTING MAN IN GROIN
Police were called to the 100 block of Broadway at 12:25 p.m. Friday, November 4th, regarding an assault report.
Officers spoke to a man who said that he saw a man and a woman arguing.
When the man went to the aid of the woman, the male suspect allegedly hit the man in the groin with an open hand and fled.
The suspect was later arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for assault and battery.
