ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY STEALING EARRINGS
Police were called to the Santa Monica Place mall at 7 p.m. Sunday, August 7th, where loss prevention officers at a store had a theft suspect in custody.
Loss prevention officers alleged to police that the suspect entered the store, took a pair of earrings valued at $15 and left the store without paying.
The suspect was arrested by loss prevention officers and released to police, who booked the suspect in Santa Monica Jail for petty theft.
BOOKED FOR STEALING COMPUTERS FROM LAB
An employee in the 2900 block of 31st Street alleged to police at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, August 6th, that a suspect entered the building, stole computers from the computer lab and fled.
A surveillance camera caught the suspect allegedly stealing the items from the location.
The computer items were valued at $9,100.
The suspect was later arrested and taken to Santa Monica Jail where he was booked for commercial burglary. The suspect’s bail was set at $20,000.
ARRESTED FOR EATING FOOD AND NOT PAYING
A store clerk in the 1500 block of Lincoln Boulevard told police at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 10th, that a suspect allegedly ordered $13.13 worth of food and did not have any money to pay for the food.
The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for commercial burglary.
TWO CHARGED WITH SPRAY-PAINTING WALL
Police were called to the 200 block of Idaho Avenue at 1:05 a.m. Wednesday, August 10th, where a man alleged that he saw two suspects spray-painting an apartment building wall.
The two suspects were arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for vandalism. Bail for the suspects was set at $20,000 each.
ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT OF A WOMAN
A woman in the 2300 block of Ocean Park Boulevard alleged to police at 10:17 a.m. Wednesday, August 10th, that a suspect was upset over drugs and began to punch the woman and kick her on the body.
The woman, who reported pain to her lower back and ribs, had a black eye and an abrasion to the knee.
The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.
