ARRESTED FOR CUTTING MAN ON FOREHEAD
Two men and a woman in the area of Lincoln Boulevard and Strand Street told police at 12:22 p.m. Tuesday, March 7th, that they were walking on the street when a suspect drove by and allegedly yelled racial slurs at them.
As they continued to walk toward Strand Street, the suspect allegedly approached them and began to fight with the two men.
During the fight, the suspect allegedly produced a knife, attempted to stab one of the men and fled.
The victim had a five-inch abrasion on the forehead.
The suspect was later arrested and taken to Santa Monica Jail, where he was booked for assault with a deadly weapon.
ALLEGEDLY DAMAGED CAR WITH METAL OBJECT
A man in the 1400 block of Fourth Street told police at 1:25 a.m. Thursday, March 2nd, that when he was throwing his trash out, he heard a loud noise coming from the parking lot.
The man said he then saw a suspect allegedly scratch the hood of a vehicle, using a metal handle. The suspect then allegedly used a metal object to smash both headlights and the grill of the vehicle.
The vehicle damage was estimated at over $400.
The suspect was arrested at the scene and taken to Santa Monica Jail, where he was booked for felony vandalism.
PAIR ARRESTED FOR STEALING COSMETICS
Police were called to a store in the 1300 block of the Third Street Promenade at 5:57 p.m. Saturday, March 4th, where a store loss prevention officer told police that two suspects allegedly entered the store carrying shopping bags, placed items inside the shopping bags and left without paying.
The miscellaneous cosmetic items were valued at $1,626.50.
The suspects were arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for commercial burglary.
ALLEGEDLY BOUGHT ITEMS AT REDUCED RATE
A loss prevention officer at a store in the 100 block of Santa Monica Place told police at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, March 4th, that two suspects entered the store and went to the cash register, where they allegedly purchased merchandise for which they were not charged the complete amount.
Police determined that the store employee had allegedly either given the items away free to the suspects or charged a reduced amount for the items.
The total store loss was estimated at $1,147.95 worth of clothing.
The three suspects were arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for commercial burglary.

NOT PAYING DRINK TAB
A restaurant employee in the 300 block of Santa Monica Pier told police at 3:06 p.m. Monday, March 6th, that a suspect allegedly entered the restaurant, ordered two drinks and left without paying the $15 bill.
The suspect was arrested outside the restaurant and taken to Santa Monica Jail, where he was booked for defrauding an innkeeper and probation violation.
ALLEGEDLY BROKE INTO GARAGE AND HAD A DRINK
A man in the 2200 block of Montana Avenue told police at 8:15 p.m. Monday, March 6th, that a suspect allegedly entered a locked garage, opened a refrigerator, drank from a beverage and fled.
The suspect was stopped by officers, who arrested the suspect and booked him in Santa Monica Jail for residential burglary.
BOOKED FOR ASSAULTING MAN, USING HANDS, FEET
Police were called to the 500 block of Santa Monica Boulevard at 5:03 p.m. Wednesday, March 8th, where an assault and battery incident was reported.
A man told police that a suspect had allegedly refused to leave the location, and when the man told the suspect that police were called, the suspect allegedly attacked the man using her hands and feet.
The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for assault and battery.
