DRIVES TO WORK
A woman told police that Thursday, September 2nd, she was approached by two suspects in the 1300 block of Wilshire Boulevard, one who was brandishing a knife, the other who demanded the woman’s purse.
The woman complied, handed the suspects her purse and stood as the suspects fled on foot.
The victim then drove to her place of employment and called the police.
MAN ARRESTED FOR THREATS WITH KNIFE
A man in the 1600 block of Ocean Front Walk told police that a suspect approached him at around 4:15 p.m. Monday, September 6th, brandished a knife and threatened him for unknown reasons.
Police arrested a suspect and took him to Santa Monica Jail.
MARIJUANA AND KNIFE
FOUND ON MAN
Police stopped a man who was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk in the 1500 block of Second Street at 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 7th.
Officers recovered small amounts of marijuana and a knife on the suspect. He was taken to Santa Monica Jail and booked for possession of marijuana and a knife.
WOMAN SAYS DRUNK MAN GRABBED HER NECK
A woman in the 1600 block of Seventh Street told police that an intoxicated man grabbed her around the neck and assaulted her at around 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 8th. Police arrested the suspect and booked him in Santa Monica Jail for assault and battery and public intoxication.
SECURITY GUARD SAYS THIEF SCRATCHED HIS FACE
A man was arrested outside a mini-mart in the 1700 block of Cloverfield Avenue at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday, September 10th, after a security guard claimed that the man stole items from the store and attempted to leave without paying for the items.
The security guard told police that he approached the suspect outside the store and the suspect scratched him in the face.
Police arrested the suspect and took him to Santa Monica Jail.
VICTIM HOLDS ORANGE,
GETS BEATEN TO PULP
A suspect — in the 1600 block of Ocean Front Walk at around 12 p.m. Friday, September 10th — allegedly tried to steal an orange from a victim. When the suspect was unsuccessful, the suspect struck the victim with a metal rod, according to police.
The suspect was arrested and taken to Santa Monica Jail, where he was booked for assault.
HAD NO BELT
A bystander told police he wanted to press charges after a man standing on the sidewalk in the 100 block of Broadway Saturday, September 11th, could not keep his pants up around his waist.
The bystander said that when the man’s pants fell to his ankles, his buttocks and genitalia were revealed.
The man was arrested and booked for indecent exposure.
MAN STEALS BEER — FIGHTS WITH SECURITY,
Police responded to the 1300 block of Wilshire Boulevard at 9 p.m. Saturday, September 11th, regarding a theft investigation.
Officers spoke to an employee who said that the suspect entered the store, picked up four cases of beer and attempted to walk out of the store without paying for the beer.
Once outside the store, the suspect was approached by a security guard. The suspect allegedly fought with the security guard until he was arrested by police and taken to Santa Monica Jail.
MAN ARRESTED FOR THEFT
Police were called to the 1200 block of Third Street at 5 p.m. Sunday, September 12th, in regards to a theft that had just occurred.
Officers spoke to a security guard, who said that the suspect walked into the store carrying a bag and placed items in the bag and attempted to leave the store without paying for the items.
Once outside, the suspect was apprehended until police arrived and arrested the suspect.
ROOM SERVICE WAITER
ALLEGEDLY TRIES TO KISS HOTEL GUEST
A parent told police that a hotel employee in the 1700 block of Fourth Street attempted to kiss the parent’s daughter when the employee was delivering room service food to the daughter at around 8:30 p.m. Monday, September 13th.
Police arrested the employee and booked him at Santa Monica Jail on charges of child annoyance.
A man was arrested for robbery in the 2000 block of Pico Boulevard around midnight Monday, September 13th.
The victim told police that he was approached by the suspect who demanded the victim’s Walkman, the victim complied and the suspect fled.
Police found the suspect in the vicinity of the crime, arrested him and booked him in Santa Monica Jail.

HELPING HIMSELF TO DRINK
A resident in the 700 block of Pacific Coast Highway called police at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday, September 14th, after a man entered the residence, opened a refrigerator, drank from an item, and attempted to flee.
Police responded to the residence, arrested the suspect and booked him in Santa Monica Jail on charges of burglary.
ASSAULT AND BATTERY
Police were called to the 100 block of Fraser Avenue at 5:35 p.m. Tuesday, September 14th, regarding an assault and battery that had just occurred.
Officers spoke to the victim, who said that the suspect took an item from the victim’s hand and verbally threatened the victim.
Police found the suspect in the area, arrested him and took him to Santa Monica Jail.
