The Ruskin Group Theatre in Santa Monica will present “Italian American Reconciliation,” a folktale by John Patrick Shanley, beginning Friday, October 23rd through December 6th.

Performances are scheduled at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays at Ruskin Group Theatre, 3000 Airport Ave., Santa Monica. No performances are scheduled Thanksgiving weekend.

The comedy tells the story of Huey and Aldo, two passionate men who have been best friends their whole lives. Unwittingly, they set out to conquer love but it quickly becomes clear that they must first prove their manhood and reconcile with their pastÖthrough a “vampire vulture monster fiend,” that Huey once married.

Director Rae Allen is a Tony Award winner and a two-time Tony Award nominee. She has acted in the Broadway productions of “Damn Yankees” and “Traveler Without Luggage.”

Producer Mike Myers has produced more than 50 projects since 2002. He recently directed “Faithful” at Ruskin Group Theatre and is a co-creator of the Ruskin’s critically acclaimed Cafe Plays, a monthly offering of one-acts that are performed in ten and a half hours from conception to staging.

The cast includes Andy Laur as Huey, John Colella as Aldo, Mary Margaret Kerns as Aunt May and Amy Jacobson as Janice.
