The City of Santa Monica is scheduled to hold a citywide community workshop from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, December 6th, focusing on how transportation can help meet the community’s goals of sustainability, affordability and active recreation.

— parking strategies for downtown, neighborhood commercial, and residential areas;

— sustainable resource allocation; and

— approaches to transportation promoting green streets and recreational opportunities.

The workshop is open to the entire community, including residents, the business community and employees working in the city.

Registration begins at 6:15 p.m. The program is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
