Los Angeles Times reporters Molly Hennessy-Fiske and John Mitchell will give a free talk, “From Baghdad to L.A.: Journalism as Transformative Literature,” 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, September 30th, in the Theater Arts Studio Stage, 1900 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica.
Hennessy-Fiske has covered Iraq and currently works in the Metro section of the Times, covering the national economy and some general assignments.
Mitchell was a member of the newspaper’s team of reporters who won a Pulitzer for coverage of the 1992 Los Angeles riots. He has reported on California and Los Angeles politics, government, crime, courts and entertainment for three decades.
