Two men were killed and a third was wounded in a shooting at a Westchester apartment complex June 21, police said.

Los Angeles Police Department detectives are continuing to look for a fourth man who may also have been injured and is wanted for questioning in connection with the fatal shooting.

The incident occurred at about 6 p.m. at the Alessio Apartments complex in the 5700 block of Centinela Avenue in Westchester, near the border with Culver City, police said. Witnesses told police that a burglary or robbery occurred at one of the apartment units before multiple shots were fired.

When police arrived at the scene they found two men with gunshot wounds. One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene and the second victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, an LAPD spokeswoman said. The identities of the men were not released pending notification of next of kin.

A third injured man was questioned by police at the scene and taken into custody. It was not immediately known if the two deceased men were suspects in the shooting, police said.

The fourth man being sought by police is described only as African-American and wearing a brown shirt and brown pants, the LAPD spokeswoman said.

Police said they recovered several weapons at the scene. The investigation is continuing.
