David Snow, executive director of the Upward Bound House social service agency in Santa Monica, was recognized December 12th by the Beverly Hills Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors and the Equal Opportunity Cultural Diversity Committee with the Resolution of Merit Honor.

The community-based social service agency Upward Bound House works to assist homeless families with children and help provide housing for very low-income seniors.

In addition to providing housing, the program also helps equip the residents with the skills necessary to achieve independence, agency representatives said.

Representatives of the Association of Realtors and Cultural Diversity Committee said they recognized Snow for the “selfless dedication and conscientious commitment he has demonstrated in the service of homeless families and very low income seniors.”

They said individuals such as Snow are “the truly unsung heroes representing the values of acceptance, appreciation, and awareness of those marginalized by circumstance and/or other personal disadvantage.”
