Kindsight, an exhibit of photograph/text works by motion picture industry photographer Robert Zuckerman, opens with a cocktail reception and book signing at 7 p.m. Friday, July 15th, at the Edgemar Center for the Performing Arts, 2437 Main St., Santa Monica. Admission is free.

Zuckerman’s photos have been used in the advertising and publicity campaigns for films including The Crow, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Any Given Sunday, Training Day, Terminator 3, Bad Boys 2 and National Treasure.

He photographed the cover of Will Smith’s latest CD, Lost and Found, and has recently become the official photographer for the family of Malcolm X.

His exhibit, Kindsight, and book of the same name, is a collection of photographs and accompanying texts by Zuckerman illuminating the “richness of everyday life encounters and experiences.”

Subject matter includes taxi and bus drivers, waitresses, plumbers, kids on a playground and cats, Zuckerman’s artistic take on things that flash by in the daily urban environment.
