Crazy Aunt Mary, a Los Angeles-based acoustic rock trio, will perform as part of the festivities at the first Veggie Pride Parade in Venice and surrounding communities Sunday, April 26th.
The Veggie Pride Parade, which is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., starts at Culver Events, 11948 W. Washington Blvd. in Del Rey.
Crazy Aunt Mary will be performing at the post-parade rally, along with Monogroove and Truth on Earth. The acoustic-driven band, which plays eclectic folk rock and blues songs, includes musicians Michelle Holmes, Steve Pinkney, and Doug Forsyth,
A 5-kilometer walk through the Venice area will begin at noon, with costumed participants carrying signs about the humane, environmental, and health benefits of a vegetarian diet and lifestyle.
A post-parade rally will include guest presentations, music and “veg” entertainment, a costume contest, and a variety of vegan food from restaurants in Los Angeles.
