The Venice Neighborhood Council has invited community members from 11 other Westside Neighborhood Council areas to a town hall meeting to address the budget crisis facing state, county and city governments.
The meeting is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, February 26th, at the Westminster Elementary School auditorium, 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice.
The event will feature State Assemblyman Ted Lieu, County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky and City Councilwoman Wendy Greuel, and will be moderated by KPCC special correspondent Kitty Felde.
The panelists will address a variety of issues related to the budget challenges and members of the 11 other Neighborhood Council communities have been invited to participate in the two hour meeting.
Refreshments will be provided. Admission is free and the format will allow for questions and answers of the speakers.
