Longtime Venice resident Jack M. Peacock died Saturday, June 23rd. He was 75.

Peacock had lived in the Venice area for the past 45 years.

He worked at Vons grocery stores in Westchester and West Los Angeles for 29 years and had been retired for 17 years.

Among Peacock’s favorite pastimes were gambling in Las Vegas and watching football, and during his retirement he liked traveling across the country by car to most of the 50 states with his wife of almost 48 years, Catherine, his family said.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine, his four children, Bruce, Debbie, Jack and Kim, eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
