Venice resident Mark E. Windham is one of four people who were appointed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger Friday, January 25th, to judgeships in the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
Windham, 48, has served as head deputy public defender for the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office since 2000.
He previously served as a deputy public defender for the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office from 1985 to 2000 and as an attorney in private practice from 1984 to 1985.
Windham earned a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley.
He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Andria K. Richey.
The other three court appointees are Rogelio G. Delgado of Walnut, Kathleen O. Diesman of Manhattan Beach and Louis M. Meisinger of Thousand Oaks.
