Nathan Bindschadler, a Venice resident and fourth-year senior at the Midland School college preparatory boarding school in Los Olivos, has been named one of two school prefects for the 2006-2007 academic year at the school.

Bindschadler, 17, son of Duane Bindschadler and Lisa Jackson, will serve as a leader of the school’s daily operation, including assemblies, jobs, room inspections, evening check-ins and routine discipline.

“Nathan is a well-rounded student and respected member of the Midland community,” said Paul Gelles, a Spanish teacher and Bindschadler’s academic advisor. “From his work tutoring students in calculus to playing goalie for varsity soccer to his dedicated work to his kind and caring attitude toward his peers, Nathan is an excellent choice for school prefect.”
