The Walgrove Elementary School request for proposals (RFP), which was issued by the Los Angeles Unified School District Sept. 20, will be the main topic on the agenda of the Mar Vista Community Council’s Education, Culture and Arts Committee meeting at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2.
The meeting will be held at St. Bede’s Episcopal Church, 3590 Grand View Blvd., Mar Vista.
The meeting will be open to all local stakeholders, including those who live in Venice, and will be dedicated almost entirely to the discussion of the Walgrove/LAUSD RFP, which can be found at http://mo.laschools.org/fis/fcs/rfpqm-psc.
Representatives from LAUSD Facilities Services, Green Dot Public Schools, Ocean Charter School, and Walgrove Avenue Elementary have been invited by the committee to make presentations.
LAUSD Board Member Steve Zimmer has been invited as well.
