Tina and Rick Caruso were presented with KCET’s Visionary Award at the seventh annual gala on Thursday, June 1st, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.

The event raised $1.4 million for the Los Angeles PBS station’s programming.

As founder and chief executive officer of Caruso Affiliated Holdings, Rick Caruso develops retail centers.

His Los Angeles development projects include the Waterside Marina in Marina del Rey, The Grove, the Encino Marketplace, the Commons at Calabasas, the Promenade at Westlake, and the Americana on Brand now underway in Glendale.

“Tina and Rick Caruso have earned a reputation as a compassionate and extraordinary team whose efforts to improve the quality of life for Californians are profound and enduring,” said KCET president and chief executive officer Al Jerome.

“On behalf of KCET and its board of directors, we are thrilled to be honoring Tina and Rick and celebrating their accomplishments.”

The Carusos have charitable interests in education, healthcare, children and youth services, and cultural pursuits.

Their philanthropic affiliations include the L.A. Children’s Museum, California Medical Center Foundation, Pepperdine University, and St. John’s Health Center Foundation.
