As part of Santa Monica College 75th anniversary celebrations, the college Associated Students organization will sponsor “Catch the Spirit Week” Tuesday through Saturday, November 9th to 13th, leading to the college homecoming football game.

The college Corsairs football team will play the East Los Angeles College Huskies in the homecoming game at 7 p.m. Saturday, November 13th, at Corsair Field, 1600 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica. Parking for the game will be free.

Homecoming game tickets will be $5 for adults, $3 for children three to 12 years old and for senior citizens, and are free for Santa Monica College students with student identification, and children under age three.

During the game, Associated Students will sponsor the Corsair Spirit Squad, giveaways, and chances to win $10,000 in a field goal contest and a pickup truck in a punt contest. Winners must be Associated Students members and present at the game to claim prizes.

Associated Students is also sponsoring a series of free events the week before the game:

n 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, November 9th, at the college library pathway, “Pump it Up” Spirit Carnival featuring student club booths and sports carnival games.

n 11:15 a.m. to 12:35 p.m., Thursday, November 11th, at the college clock tower, “Pep Rally & Cake Bake” featuring cheerleaders, coaches, players, and free slices of cake.

n 4 p.m., Thursday, November 11th, at the college Cayton Center lounge, “Movie Night” featuring the football film Any Given Sunday and free popcorn.
