Four Westchester boys who felt the need to do their part to help victims of the earthquake disaster in Haiti raised $412 by selling coffee, lemonade and cookies in their neighborhood.

All proceeds from their sale will benefit UNICEF’s Haitian relief effort.

Nick Melton, 11, Ashton Saltz, 11, Dylan Bernard, 11, and Scott Melton, 7, said they were inspired to do something after seeing news reports of the tragedy coming from Haiti.

The youths held the sale Sunday, January 17th at 77th Street and Dunfield Avenue. Together with their parents, they have also collected approximately 70 pairs of gently worn shoes for UNICEF.
