The Westchester High School Academic Booster Club showcased its first art walk Friday, December 10th, at the school.

Professional artists, master teachers and high school apprentices exhibited their artwork. The proceeds of the sale of the artworks exhibited are to benefit the school’s library.

Floyd Bell, a faculty member at the high school, showcased his collections of art dolls.

Bell, who is considered a master carver, joined other artists representing Emerson Adult School, Otis Art College, Graphaids Arts Supply and the Westchester Senior Citizen Center.

Westchester High principal Anita Barner asked Bell to create an art show that would feature student artists as well as professionals.

“My vision for the show was to have professional artists display and sell their artwork right alongside of the apprentice artists,” said Bell.
