Westchester High School held its annual Senior Awards Ceremony June 20, honoring graduating seniors who were provided with scholarships to help fund their college education.

The scholarships included those offered by a total of 12 community based organizations that have, for many years, supported academic excellence and outstanding citizenship at Westchester High School, school officials said.

The scholarships presented and the senior students who received them included:

Ken Kohon Math Award: Cody Holik;

Marjorie G. Eisen “Kindness in Action” Award: Jacqueline Portillo;

Cash for College Scholarship: Paige Woods;

Brittany Latrice Veal Scholarship: Dionya Jackson;

Kristopher M. Talley Scholarship: Kadiatou Daillo and Rodney Witherspoon;

Westchester High PTSA Scholarships: Taylor Moore, Sagar Bhatt, Hannah Levy and Noel Padilla;

Drollinger Family Charitable Foundation: Bhatt;

LAX Kiwanis: Jennifer Romo and Carlos Amaya;

Rotary Club of Westchester Interact Award: Holik;

Rotary Club of Westchester Madera Leadership Award: Levy;

Westchester High School Alumni Association Award – Charles Jackson, Class of 1986 Scholarship: Witherspoon;

Loyola Marymount University Upward Bound Solidarity Scholarship: Witherspoon;

Woman’s Club of Playa del Rey Scholarship: Jessica Anderson and Eman Hardaway; and

South Central Scholars: Naomi Vather and Witherspoon.
