Connor Gervais of Boy Scout Troop 716 in Westchester has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest award in scouting.
Gervais, who graduated from Loyola High School, is currently attending the University of California at Santa Cruz as a marine biology major.
For his Eagle Scout project, Gervais implemented an irrigation system in the Madrona Marsh in Torrance. He has spent the last three summers working for the Boy Scouts at Camp Emerald Bay on Catalina Island, and has completed two Philmont Scout Ranch wilderness backpacking expeditions in New Mexico.
He is the son of Tim and Kathy Gervais, and has three younger brothers who are also involved in scouting. His father also achieved the Eagle rank.
