The Westside Family Health Center (WFHC) will celebrate its annual Imagine. Believe. Achieve Gala at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica Saturday, April 30.

Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Community Surgery Day volunteers will be honored at the event with the D. Gene Parks, M.D. Community Volunteer Service Award, and Morley Builders will be honored with WFHC’s Community Leadership Award.

The gala’s top sponsors include Kaiser Permanente, Health Research Association and Draper Consulting Group. Stephanie Negriff, the director of Transit Services for Santa Monica’s Big Blue Bus who recently announced her planned retirement, will serve as the honorary gala chair.

According to the family health center, Kaiser Permanente’s volunteer team provides pro-bono surgeries to many of WFHC’s patients who otherwise could not afford it and the health care professionals exemplify the meaning of volunteerism and commitment to healthy communities.

Morley Builders is a Southern California-based general contractor that has set a standard of corporate social and civic responsibility through its business practices, a family health center spokesperson said.

“We are so pleased to publicly recognize Kaiser Permanente and Morley Builders,” Debra A. Farmer, WFHC’s president/CEO said. “We provide a range of services onsite – family practice services, prenatal, pediatrics and reproductive health services, even adolescent health and chronic care management classes; Kaiser Permanente and Morley Builders help make that happen.”

All proceeds from the gala will benefit Westside Family Health Center. Sponsors of $5,000 or more will get their names on the backs of Santa Monica Big Blue Buses for three weeks among other benefits.
