The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) invites the public to attend a community update meeting in Santa Monica for its proposed Westside Subway Extension Project Tuesday, April 20th.
The meeting will provide an update on the agency’s continued progress of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement/Report (DEIS/DEIR) for the project and will include information developed since the last station information meetings were held late last year.
The project team will present further refined station details and preliminary performance analysis of the rail alternatives under review.
The Santa Monica meeting is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Santa Monica Public Library Multi-Purpose Room, 601 Santa Monica Blvd. Validated vehicle and free bike parking is available. Spanish translation will be provided at this meeting.
The agenda will include an open house at 6 p.m. followed by a presentation and a public comment period.
Metro anticipates releasing the draft EIS/EIR for public comment in the summer. The agency’s Board of Directors will consider the recommendations later this year.
