Taste of Santa Monica

The fourth annual Taste of Santa Monica, a food festival showcase of about 40 local restaurants, with chef demonstrations and live music, is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, September 18th, on the Santa Monica Pier (ocean end of Colorado Avenue), Santa Monica.

The event is organized by the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for children four to ten years old. The ticket includes all food, but beverages are extra.

New to Taste of Santa Monica this year is a wine garden, with about 15 wineries showcasing some 40 varietals. Wine garden tickets are an additional $15.

Chef demonstrations will be presented by the Art Institute of California — Los Angeles. The demos bring out some favorite local Santa Monica chefs to dazzle the crowd and offer tips on making gastronomic delights that people can attempt in their home cooking endeavors.

The Sam Graham trio will play live soul and jazz throughout the afternoon.
