A woman has been arrested in connection with the homicide of 43-year-old Kenneth Bradford at around 8 a.m. Monday, May 17th, in the area of Sixth Street and Brooks Avenue in Venice.

According to Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Pacific Area Community Station Detective Mike DePasquale, Bradford and the woman were engaged in an argument, when the woman allegedly shot Bradford with a handgun.

DePasquale alleged the confrontation may have been over narcotics.

Bradford was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9 a.m. Monday, May 17th.

Witnesses to the crime said they saw the woman flee after allegedly shooting Bradford.

She was arrested Wednesday, May 19th, and is being held on $1 million bail.
