The Santa Monica Public Library will host a series of job search workshops followed by a panel discussion with experts from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10 in the multi-purpose room at the main library, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard.

From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., attendees can choose between a resume workshop, led by Marilyn Tullius of Ace Words, and a workshop on job search preparation and networking, led by Kate Pletcher of Mom Corps Los Angeles.

From 7:30 to 8:30, attendees are invited to participate in a panel discussion with Tullius, Pletcher and Daisy Swan of Daisy Swan & Associates.

Tullius prepares custom resumes for clients in business, professional, and executive careers across most industries, including professional services, medical, government, entertainment and new media.

Swan is a career strategist, coach and counselor. She says she has helped hundreds of clients find more rewarding careers and life paths throughout the past 20 years.

Pletcher, started Mom Corps L.A., a search firm that specializes in flex-time staffing, after more than nine years of sales and business development experience across a number of industries including advertising, consumer products, publishing and entertainment.

Before starting Mom Corps L.A., she served as director of Global Brand Licensing for Skechers USA and worked with a business development consultancy, managing brand development and extension for MGM Studios and Shape Magazine.
