Congresswoman Diane E. Watson is inviting the public to attend “Youth Violence Dialogue: A Search For Solutions,” cosponsored by the University of Southern California (USC).
The event is from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, June 12th, at USC Davidson Conference Center, 3415 So. Figueroa St., Los Angeles. Free parking is provided at Lot 4, off Jefferson Boulevard, west of Figueroa Street.
A panel of experts has been invited to participate with the public in a candid dialogue, in an attempt to stem the tide of youth violence, said Watson.
“We are aware of newspaper headlines chronicling violent acts of crime committed by youth in the City and County of Los Angeles, said Watson.
“No longer can we pretend it is someone else’s problem. It is ours. Together we must help to eliminate this criminal behavior.”
The audience will include a cross-section of individuals who have expertise and many years of experience working with at-risk youth and prevention programs, said Watson.
A continental breakfast will be served.
To confirm participation, contact Lois Hill Hale, press secretary and event coordinator.
