The United States Youth Volleyball League is accepting registrations for the league season this fall in Santa Monica.
The volleyball league meets from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays, and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturdays at Clover Park, 2600 Ocean Park Blvd., Santa Monica. The season begins Wednesday, September 10th, and continues through November 1st.
The goal of the eight-week program is to get youths active by teaching the fundamentals of volleyball, such as serving, passing, setting and spiking.
By providing a low-pressure, structured and fun environment, the league aims to help youths excel in the sport of volleyball. League representatives say the program’s mission is to give each participant a chance to learn and play volleyball.
The Youth Volleyball League has several volunteer opportunities available for volleyball instructors, program coordinators and coaches. Training is provided prior to the start of the season.
